  President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has urged Sri Lankans to reject attempts made by various factions to push people towards racial and religious disharmony.   The Indian High Commission has denied speculative reports in sections of media and social media about India sending its troops to Sri Lanka. In a statement, the High Commission said such views are not in keeping with the position of the Government of India. It added that the Spokesperson of Ministry of External Affairs of India yesterday had clearly announced that India is fully supportive of Sri Lanka’s democracy, stability and economic recovery. Meanwhile, the Indian High Commission in Colombo has also denied social media claims that certain Sri Lankan politicians and their families have fled to India in recent days. helamaga TV news
